History of Linene Woods (and Lakeshore) Neighborhoods
One of my favorite neighborhoods. We used to live on Ridgeland Road and my hounds, and I walked all over this neighborhood and got to know many of the residents. This neighborhood is adjacent to Lakeshore and shares many characteristics.
This is an affluent neighborhood with a population nearing retirement. A large part of this market is married, empty nesters, nearing retirement. Residents are mostly college-educated with 80% having some college education.
As a group, these consumers are more interested in quality than cost. They pride themselves on their beautiful homes and like to garden. Also, these Exurbanite residents are well connected and use their phones for everything from internet banking to shopping and managing finances.
