    History of Killearn Lakes

    When I first moved here, it seemed like everyone was moving to Killearn. From the university, it also seemed like another world. The best history I have read on the Killearn area – including Killearn Lakes – can be found here: History of Killearn

    Killearn Lakes wraps around the Golden Eagle subdivision and golf course.  Last year, these homes averaged 30 days on the market. While Killearn Lakes is not gated, it does have limited access with most owners accessing their homes from Deer Lake Road. I’ll be honest, I have gotten lost in this neighborhood more than any other in Tallahassee. This is an example of crime control through environmental design.
